NOTD - Orly Beach Cruiser Scribble Mani

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Orly's "Beach Cruiser" from the new "Feel The Vibe" collection 2012. Beach Cruiser is a hot pink neon creme polish and requires two coats for full opacity.

I loved this colour last time I wore it and wanted to try it with stamping this time and so I chose Cheeky Plate CH16 with the scribble design. I used Konad's special white polish for he stamping.

I really like this mani and am still loving stamping!

NOTD - Essie Raspberry Polka Dot Manicure

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Essie's "Raspberry" which is deep pink/red creme polish. Raspberry is very opaque and I could have got away with one coat but used two for the photos below. The formula was like butter and the colour is very pretty!

I wanted to get out the stamping plates again and used the polka dot design on Cheeky plate CH6. The dots are very close together and I like this a lot as it would take forever to achieve by freehand! I used Konad White polish for the stamping and am really pleased with the outcome! I got so many compliments on my nails!

NOTD - NFU-OH and scribble stamping

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing my existing manicure (NFU-OH's "51") which is a purple jelly flakie polish. I decided to try my hand at stamping again as I am loving the new Cheeky Stamping Plates I bought. I chose the scribble design from plate CH16 and used Barry M's "Lilac Foil" for the stamping.

I am really happy with how this turned out and am looking forward to trying out other mani's with the scribble design! I love it!

NOTD - NFU-OH 51

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing NFU-OH's "51". 51 is a purple based jelly polish with a shimmer and gold, red and purple flakies throughout. It took 3 coats to reach opacity as it is very sheer.

The overall look and shimmer reminded me a lot of Max Factor's "Fantasy Fire".

This is a stunning polish and would look great layered over different colours and especially a black so think I will do that next time!

NOTD - OPI You Callin Me A Lyre and Pirouette My Whistle

Hey lovelies!

Today I am wearing OPI's "You Callin Me A Lyre" which is a sheer pink jelly polish. The formula was good and I used three coats to reach opacity. I then applied one coat of OPI's "Pirouette My Whistle" which is a clear based polish with matte silver hexagon glitter and smaller silver glitter particles.

I absolutely love this combination together it screams "bridal" mani to me!!! To add a little something extra I decided to do an accent nail with the ring fingers using a floral pattern design from Cheeky Plate CH. I used Barry M's "Silver Foil" polish for the stamping. I am really happy with the outcome!

NOTD - Orly Melt Your Popsicle

Hey lovelies!

Today I am wearing Orly's "Melt Your Popsicle" from Orly's new Summer Collection "Feel The Vibe".

Melt Your Popsicle is a vibrant neon orange creme polish. This took just two coats for full opacity and dried with a glossy finish although I still applied topcoat. The formula was smooth and flawless too! This polish is so neon orange and almost hurts your eyes and as with most neons my camera does not do it the justice it deserves! It's gorgeous though a true neon!

I am really loving Orly polishes at the moment and especially their neon's!

NOTD - Pink Gradient Mani

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing my very first sponged gradient manicure! For this manicure I recycled my previous mani - Essie's "Watermelon" (please see previous post for more information). I also Essie's "Guchi Muchi Puchi" which is a light pink creme polish for this manicure. I painted some of Watermelon and Guchi Muchi Puchi onto a plastic board and then applied it onto my nail using a sponge. There are tutorials on YouTube showing the technique.

I am really pleased with this gradient and the colours go well together! I will definitely be trying out more sponged gradients in the future!

NOTD - Essie Watermelon

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Essie's "Watermelon" which is from my pile of untried's! Watermelon is a deep pink (verging on red) creme polish. The formula applies like butter and is a one coater but I used two for the swatches below.

I am really happy with this polish it is very shiny and feminine.

Good news UK ladies - Essie's are now available at Boots and Superdrug stores. I happened to stumble across a stand yesterday in my local Boots (pictured below). Essie's are priced at £7.99 each which is pricey, however, both stores often have promotions like 3 for 2 offers and I noticed today that Superdrug online currently have 3 for 2 across cosmetics including Essie polishes!

NOTD - Orly Glowstick Star Emo Nails

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Orly's "Glowstick" from Orly's new "Feel The Vibe" collection 2012. Glowstick is a super bright neon yellow creme polish! When I say bright I mean it - think highlighter pen bright! Unfortunately I do not have a highlighter yellow pen in the house to compare it with but I am sure this would be close if not exact! I used three coats of Glowstick on my natural nails without a white base. The application was good but if I were going to wear Glowstick on its own then I would have used four coats!

It is super vibrant on its own and so I felt I needed to add something to it and I had just received my new "Cheeky" stamping plates so it would have just been rude not to have had a play with them!

For the stamping image I chose a star design as I thought it would be a good reverse glow in the dark star effect. I used Cheeky plate CH5 with Konad Special Black polish to do the stamping.

I am really pleased with this mani and have received many "likes" and comments in various groups on facebook. I think this makes a great "Emo" Mani!

I purchased a set of 16 Cheeky stamping plates from Amazon last week for £14.99. This is such good value and the designs look great so expect to see more stamping mani's from me in the future!

NOTD - OPI Vodka & Caviar

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am wearing OPI's "Vodka & Caviar" a perfect deep red jelly polish. The formula on this polish is so amazing and only requires one coat for full opacity. On the first coat it appears less deep in colour but as usual I applied two and this deepened the red. Vodka & Caviar is super shiny and is a definite must have red for your collection it looks very classy and elegant.

NOTD - Orly Beach Cruiser

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Orly's "Beach Cruiser" from the new "Feel The Vibe" collection 2012. Beach Cruiser is a super bright hot neon pink polish. The formula was superb and required two coats for opacity. I cannot tell you how bright this polish is and you need to see it to believe it in real life! It is amazingly bright and would make for a perfect summer holiday mani or pedi!

I am absolutely loving neons at the moment and I have to say this is definitely my most favourite yet!

NOTD - Ibiza Mix Jelly Sandwich Mattified

Hey lovelies! Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Today I am wearing OPI's "Don't Touch My Tutu" which is a sheer milky White jelly polish from OPI's NYC Ballet Collection 2012. I used three coats to achieve decent opacity and then I used Models Own's "Ibiza Mix" which is a glitter polish made up of teal, purple, copper, blue and gold glitters (soooo gorgeous!). I used one thick coat and then I topped with OPI's "Don't Touch My Tutu" which created the jelly sandwich effect!

I absolutely love this manicure and the photos do not do it enough justice! It is a super nude base with a stunning glitter and what could make that any better??? Well, what happened to show up on my doorstep today ... None other than Essie's "Matte About You" Topcoat from a swap I did. I have been wanting Matte About You for ages ad I had been using Rimmel's equivalent which just simply did not work for me in that nothing really looked matte when I applied it! So anyway long story cut short I used Matte About You on top of today's jelly sandwich and am so pleased with it it actually works and looks fab!!! If you don't have the Essie Matte About You, you need it!!! I can't wait to try this out over so many more mani's! I love this mani!

Below are photos are the same manicure glossy and then mattified!
