NOTD - Whimsical Ideas Seuss

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing another Whimsical Ideas by Pam, the oh so popular "Seuss".

Seuss is a sheer blue based polish with large and tiny silver hexagon glitters and medium red hexagon glitters throughout. The formula was good and I used three coats for full opacity.

I really like the large silver hexagons they look like I have diamanté jewels on my nails. I love the overall jelly sandwich effect of this polish too!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam polishes are available to order via email for more details please see the Whimsical Ideas Facebook page. Unfortunately shipping isn't international and I was fortunate to get these through a friend.

So I saw that Pam has announced new Whimsicals are in the making! I am going in on a group buy for some soon so hope these will be released shortly as I am super excited!

NOTD - Whimsical Ideas Peanut Butter and Jelly

Hey Lovelies!

Boy do I have a super gorgeous polish on my nails today!

Today I am wearing Whimsical Ideas by Pam "Peanut Butter & Jelly". Peanut Butter and Jelly is a purple based polish with a sheer jelly finish. There are medium sized gold hexagon glitters and smaller gold glitters throughout.

I used three coats to achieve full opacity and the formula was good and the glitters spread with ease! Once again I am in love with another Whimsical creation. If you are interested in this polish you can go to the Whimsical Ideas Facebook page and order via email. Unfortunately shipping is not international and I was lucky enough to have a friend organise getting this polish to me along with "Seuss" so keep a watchful eye out for my swatches of that one coming very soon.

This polish is even more spectacular in real life! Very pretty and unique I got so many compliments today.

NOTD - W7 Lava Flow

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing the last of the three sprinkle type effect glitter polished that I picked up last weekend from my local market.

I am wearing W7's "Lava Flow". Lava Flow is a white based polish with small black and red glitters throughout. Application was good and required three coats although I could have got away with two if but just had a few bald patches in places due to my impatience waiting for the first layer to dry. I really like the effect of this polish.

NOTD - W7 Mosaic

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing W7's "Mosaic" which is another of the W7's I picked up at the weekend.

Mosaic is an aqua blue based polish with dark blue and lime green/gold glitters throughout. The formula is great and a perfect two coater! The glitter from the bottom layer peeks through the top and really looks like mosaic!

This polish was such a bargain find at £1.99 for 15ml and especially as it is practically a dupe for Nails Inc's "Pudding Lane" from the Sprinkles Collection which retails at £11!!! If you happen to find this be sure to snap it up as it is well worth it and such a unique and gorgeous polish!

NOTD - W7 Salt n Pepper

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am wearing W7's "Salt n Pepper". As you may have noticed from yesterday's blog post this is one of the gorgeous polishes I picked up at the weekend from the local market. I was so excited to try this one out as it reminded me a lot of some indie polishes that are currently on the scene but difficult to get hold of!

Salt n Pepper is a white based polish with matte black glitters throughout. The application was great and required two coats for full coverage. I love the way the top layer still shows the bottom layer glitters but they are suspended and greyish in appearance. I think the name Salt n Pepper is very appropriate.

I am loving this polish and will be posting swatches for the other two I bought later this week!

So far as I am aware this polish is new on the scene and I think it is going to be a big hit! It cost £1.99 (BARGAIN) for 15ml.

Nail Haul

Hey lovelies!

Today I am giving you a lowdown of my most recent polish purchases! I have had a successful polish shopping weekend!

First up I bought two new Barry M's that I was eager to get my hands on. "Cappuccino" and "Nude". Cappuccino is a gorgeous taupe colour and if you don't already know I love my taupes! I probably have a dozen that are similar but still I love Barry M polishes and maybe one day I will do a taupe comparison post! Nude is a sheer nude colour which I imagine would be perfect for a French manicure base colour. I can't wait to try them both out!

I bought the Barry M's from Superdrug for £2.98 each and they new to the range. There is an offer if you spend £6 across the Barry M range you get a free retro Barry M polish - unfortunately though my spend came to £5.98 :(

Next up I went shopping to a local market on Saturday morning and could have spent a fortune! Bargains galore! My most prized pieces were these new W7 polishes "Lava Flow", "Mosaic" and "Salt n Pepper". I just had to snap all three up as they looked so much like the style of Nails Inc's Sprinkles. So far as I am aware there are only three like this available from W7. Lava Flow is a white based polish with red and black matte glitter throughout. Mosaic is a blue based polish with matte blue and lime green glitter throughout. Salt n Pepper is a white based polish with black matte glitter throughout. I am absolutely loving these polishes and they are such a bargain at £1.99 each! They are just like some of the indie polishes I have seen around lately. These polishes made my weekend and now I have had many requests to purchase more from people that are wanting them. I just wish that W7 were more widely available. I have taken a photo below of swatches on a clear nail wheel and they all required two coats and look amazing! They swatches are without topcoat. What do you think of them?

Also from the same market stall I purchased Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Presto Pink" and "Brisk Blue" which are lovely pink and blue cremes which I have heard are great for stamping. They cost £1.50 each which I think was a bargain too!

My last purchase from the stall was. Sally Hansen's Colour Quick Fast Dry Nail Colour Pen in "Fuscia Chrome" which is a metallic dark pink polish pen which again I have heard is great for stamping. This cost me £2.50.

Also, another recent purchase was Essie's "Matte About You" which I managed to pick up on clearance at TK Maxx for a bargainous £3.00!!! It usually retails at £8.99 from Boots or Superdrug!

So there you have it my most recent nail haul! I am currently wearing W7's " Salt n Pepper" and I love it! Blog post should follow tomorrow with swatches on that one! Stay tuned for more swatches of all of the above too!

NOTD - Nails Inc Jubilee

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Nails Inc's "Jubilee" in honour of Her Majesty The Queen as it is her birthday today!

Jubilee is a clear based polish densely packed full of red, silver and blue glitters. It took just two coats for full opacity which is amazing! I did experience some difficulty with application in that it was so densely packed with glitter it was hard to spread over my nail with ease, however, I got there in the end and love the overall effect of this polish! I feel very patriotic!

I used one coat of Gelous and one of Seche Vite to smooth it out. It still feels a little gritty to the touch but I think another layer of topcoat might fix that!

Jubilee is a Limited Edition nail polish available from www.nailsinc.com for £15 for the crystal cap version and is presented in a cute London jubilee themed box. I was lucky and received this as a gift from my lovely friend Tracy! Thank you Tracy!

NOTD - Barry M Bright Purple -Floral Nails

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing Barry M's "Bright Purple". Bright Purple is a plum purple creme polish. The formula as with most Barry M's was perfect and required two coats for full opacity. A gorgeous colour and very shiny.

As I am well into my addiction of stamping of course it had to be stamped on! For the stamping I chose a floral pattern from Cheeky Plate CH16 and Barry M's "Silver Foil" for the stamping polish.

I really like this combination together!

NOTD - Leighton Denny Supermodel

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing my very first Leighton Denny polish called "Supermodel" courtesy of Harpers Bazaar magazine (it is one of the freebie's from the current July issue).

Supermodel is a gorgeous mink/taupe creme polish. The formula was fantastic and required two coats for full opacity. It is a perfect taupe and the bottle is really nice too! I will definitely be on the lookout for more Leighton Denny colours to add to my collection.

Harpers Bazaar magazine costs £3.70 and had three colours to choose from. I love taupes so this was a no brainer! I know this is still sold as part of the Leighton Denny range but the price would set you back more so grab the magazine now!!!

NOTD - China Glaze Ray-Diant Fishnet Nails

Hey Lovelies!

So this weekend I have been wearing on my nails China Glaze Ray-diant which is from the China Glaze Prismatic collection 2012.

Ray-diant is a fine gold glitter polish with small silver, blue, pink, orange and green glitters throughout. The application was very easy and took just two coats to reach full opacity. The finish is quite gritty and I applied one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite which helped smooth it all out! It is super sparkly and glittery and very pretty and gives an instant go-to party mani!

The following day after wearing this mani I chose to do some stamping over the top. I used Konad Black polish and Konad plate M57 for the fishnet design. I am really happy with how this turned out! It looks so good like I am wearing minx nails or something! My best bit of stamping yet!!!

Unfortunately photographing this polish has proved difficult so you might find this post a bit pic heavy.
