Hey lovelies!
So there I was faced with a dilemma... What polish to wear? Well let me tell you this was no easy decision given all the lovely polishes I received for Christmas and the many I have bought since!
I finally decided to wear Sally Hansen's "So Much Fawn" that my mum bought for me from Poundland (yes that's right Poundland) in Nottingham on New Year's Eve. I opted for this colour as this type of shade has recently become one of my favourites and I have been desperately lemming OPI's "Kreme de la Kremlin". So Much Fawn is a rusty pink/terracotta creme it is very pigmented and nearly a one coater but I used two coats for full opacity. I am in love with this polish and I think I love it all the more for being such a bargain! I know that Sally Hansen have brought a new shaped bottle out with this same shade but the bottle sold in Poundland is the old shape. This is definitely a pound well spent so thanks mum.

NOTD - Revlon Whimsical
Hey lovelies! Hope you are all enjoying your first weekend in 2012!!!
Today I am wearing Barry M's "Blue Moon" which is a pale baby blue colour which has a creme finish with a hint of subtle blue iridescent shimmer which is barely noticeable. I used three coats to achieve opacity and found it to be a bit too sheer for my liking but I knew it would make the perfect base! Next I used Revlon's "Whimsical" which is a new nail colour available in the USA only and it is a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's "Glitter In The Air". This polish is a very sheer blue base colour with tiny particles of blue iridescent glitter and large blue and pink hexagon glitter. It is super pretty! I used two coats and found that the glitter was a bit sparse but I am happy with the overall look.

NOTD - PCF Challenge - Animal Print
Hey lovelies!
So for today's post I am back to the Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge's Friday Nails. For Friday the theme is "Animal Print" ... Any prizes for guessing who put that theme forward? Yup none other than yours truly and for the simple reason I love all things animal print! Now as you may know already I always do leopard print nails so for this challenge I wanted to do something a little different but still as simple!! So here it is ... my take on Dalmatian Print Nails!
For this look I used OPI's "Alpine Snow" white creme as my base. I layered two coats for opacity. To create the Dalmatian spots I used a dotting tool and dipped into China Glaze's "Liquid Leather" black creme nail polish and then placed onto my nails. I just went with my imagination with the dotting and unfortunately was too impatient to wait for the black polish to dry and so my topcoat pulled it in a few places smudging a little! Whoopsie!!!

NOTD - New Year's Eve Nails
Happy New Year's Eve Lovelies!!!
I can't believe it's the last day of 2011! This has been the greatest year of my life as I had my baby daughter in July and so it has been such a life changing year but definitely the best!!! So waving goodbye to the most memorable year!
Also 2011 was the year where my nail polish obsession was born so here's to a healthy and prosperous New Year to all and many more nail polish purchases, swatches and fun!!!
Today I am wearing Essie's "Turquoise & Caicos" an aqua blue creme nail polish. Sadly this took three coats to reach opacity. It is a beautiful Tiffany & Co colour so I decided to jazz it up with some silver bling using Essie's " A Cut Above" which is a clear based polish packed full of micro, medium and large silver hexagon glitter particles. I went for another glitter gradient effect for the tips and am happy with how this mani turned out!

NOTD - Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop
Hello Lovelies!
Today I am wearing Deborah Lippmann's "Candy Shop" from the "Get This Party Started" trio collection of polishes including the infamous " Happy Birthday" and the beautiful "Forget You". This set was exclusive to Nordstrom and Barneys in USA but I happened to stumble across it on the House of Fraser website the other day and I ordered it to collect from store. It costs £28 which is steep but usually one polish costa around £16.
Candy Shop is basically the Happy Birthday glitter polish within a pink base. There are different coloured glitters including silver, blue, red, pink, orange, green and gold. There are medium and large hexagon glitter particles. The pink base is a sheer jelly. It took two coats to reach full opacity and no application issues! I really love this polish as it is easy party nails they really remind me of cupcakes and hundreds and thousands! An instant jelly sandwich!!!
