NOTD - OPI Dulce de Leche

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing one of my all time favourites! I haven't worn it though in a long time but it is very dear to me as it was the polish I was wearing when my daughter entered the world!

I am wearing OPI's "Dulce de Leche" which is a nude/pink creme polish. The formula is perfect and application required two coats for full opacity!

Definitely a must have for any nail polish collection!

NOTD - Lush Lacquer Clowning Round

Hey Lovelies!

Today I am wearing OPI's "Kiss Me On My Tulips" a hot pink creme polish. I used two coats for full opacity and love the formula and application.

For my accent nail I used two coats of OPI "Alpine Snow" white creme polish and then used two coats of Lush Lacquer "Clowning Around" which is a clear base polish packed full of neon glitters in small medium and large sizes. Colours include neon blue, neon orange, neon yellow, neon pink and neon purple - this mix goes so well together and it is such a gorgeous polish! It looks like I have splattered paint over my nail! I absolutely love it!!!

Nail Mail and Mini Nail Haul

Hello Lovelies!

Today I bring to you the past week's nail mail and mini nail haul from yesterday!

First up is a swap received from the lovely Alyssa C who is part of the Birthday Club I am in. I asked her to send to me OPI's "Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em" and "Big Hair...Big Nails" and Zoya's "Penelope". The two OPI's are from last year's Texas Collection and are jelly polishes - being the huge fan of jellies that I am I have no idea why it has taken me so long to add these to my stash! They look gorgeous! Zoya Penelope is a dusty rose pink and too looks gorgeous! Thank you Alyssa!

Secondly, I received a swap from Christine who I arranged a swap with through PAA. I asked Christine to send to me Zoya's "Maisie" and "Chloe", OPI's "Metallic for Life", China Glaze's "Foie Gras", "Dress Me Up" and "Electrify" and she also kindly included an extra Sinful Colors "Green Ocean". I absolutely love all three flakies and cannot wait to give them a whirl! The OPI is the only one I liked from the Nicki Minaj Collection and the China Glaze's were the ones I wanted most from the new Hunger Games Collection 2012. Thank you so much Christine really looking forward to our next swap!

Yay! My Dollish Polish polishes from Etsy arrived today! I ordered "Welcome to Rapture" and Hip Hop Hippity Hop" (the new formula) and they both look so gorgeous I cannot wait to try them out! I also ordered a China Glaze "Liquid Crystal" from the new Prismatics Collection and am due to receive some more in a swap very soon! I can't wait to see what the other Prismatics are like as this one looks stunning!

A few purchases ... Orly's "Passionfruit" a super bright neon pink I ordered from www.cheapsmells.co.uk for £2.99 (including free delivery). I thought this was a bargain the bottle is a huge 18ml! This arrived today! Also "Gelous" which Miagi from the Birthday Club kindly purchased on my behalf as I wanted it to even out my glitter polishes. Thank you so much Miagi! Yesterday, I purchased GOSH's "Metallic Purple" this looks just wow!!! I cannot wait to get stamping with this!

And last but not least ... I had been lusting after the new Models Own Hed Kandi Collection since I laid eyes on them! Finally, I phoned a Boots store yesterday and they confirmed they had them in - I was so excited! From the collection I purchased "Disco Heaven", "Hedonist" and "Ibiza Mix" - the glitters look gorgeous and I will be swatching Ibiza Mix tomorrow so be sure to look back then! I purchased them from Boots and they are £5 each but on offer at the moment 3 for 2! "Hedonist" is a beautiful bright neon coral/orange - I am really loving neons at the moment so expect to see a lot of neon nail of the days! This is my recent colour kick! I will definitely be buying up the rest of the Hed Kandi Collection too!

What do you think? Any preferences what you would like to see my swatch out of this bunch? x

NOTD - OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips

On Wednesday's We Wear Pink

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am wearing OPI's "Kiss Me On My Tulips" which I received this morning in some awesome nail mail as part of a swap!

Kiss Me On My Tulips is from OPI's new Holland Collection for Spring 2012. It is a hot pink creme. Application was a dream and only required two coats - I won't lie though a couple of my nails required three probably due to the fact that I'm so impatient on waiting for layers to dry. This is such a stunning hot pink and I adore it, it's very feminine and barbie!

What do you think? What OPI Holland's are you going to buy? X

NOTD - OPI I Lily Love You

Good Morning lovelies!

Today I am wearing my existing manicure - 3 coats of OPI's "Do You Think I'm Tex-y?" a pink/purple jelly (please see previous post). I decided go recycle this mani by adding a layer of OPI's "I Lily Love You" on top. I Lily Love You is from The Nice Stems collection and is a pink jelly base polish with lots of glitter and iridescent flakies. Super pretty and feminine!

I like this combo as I think I Lily Love You is too sheer to wear on it's own.

NOTD - OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y?

Hey lovelies!

Today I am wearing OPI's "Do You Think I'm Tex-y?" from the Texas Collection 2011. The polish is a dark pink/purple jelly and required three coats to reach opacity. No application issues whatsoever!

I absolutely adore jelly finish polishes as they are super shiny and just look so squishy and this is just gorgeous!

NOTD - PCF Polka Dot Mani

Hey lovelies!

It's Friday once again and another post dedicated to the Purple Crumpet Fairy Group. This week's challenge is "Polka Dots" chosen by Lynica.

For this mani I recycled my previous mani which was No7's "Me! Me! Me!" (please see previous post) which is a hot pink creme. I used three coats to reach opacity. I used OPI's "Alpine Snow" which is a bright White creme for the polka dots. To do the polka dots I used a dotting tool and dipped into Alpine Snow and then dotted on my nails.

I absolutely love polka dots - transforms my plain nails into instant nail art and isn't too time consuming or difficult to achieve! I don't want to take off this mani <3 <3

PCF Christmas Challenge Day 25 - Christmas Day Mani

Merry Christmas Lovelies!

Sorry this post is a belated one but what with the festivities yesterday I simply didn't have time as was too busy enjoying my baby girl's first Christmas! I don't know about you, but I received some great polishes from family and friends which will take me a long way into the New Year! Hope you all were as spoilt as I was!

Well, I painted my nails on Christmas Eve ready for Christmas Day and for this mani I used OPI's "Speak For Your Elf" which is from the ULTA Exclusive Holiday Deck Your Nails Collection 2011. It is a red based glitter with lots of red micro glitter packed throughout. I knew this polish had to be used for my Christmas mani not just because of the name but how beautiful it looked in the bottle. I applied three coats to reach opacity as it is a sheer jelly. I had zero issues with application.

To spice this mani up a bit I decided to go for a gradient glitter effect again. For the glitter tips I used Color Club's "Gingerbread" from the Beyond The Mistletoe Collection 2011. This is a clear based polish with gold and holographic micro glitter - super sparkly! To create the gradient effect I brushed a thin coat from a third of the way down the nail. After that had dried I painted a thicker coat just a bit above and then after that coat dried I painted a thicker coat towards the tip end of the nail. To be honest I am not all that pleased as I think I could have done better as I was a bit too heavy handed especially when it came to painting my right hand! I do think this mani looks extremely festive though and I don't want to take it off it's too pretty!

NOTD - OPI Excuse Moi

Hey lovelies!

Today I am posting a mani that I wore pre-Christmas party nails but didn't get round to posting.

I wore OPI's " Excuse Moi" from The Muppets Collection 2011. This is a pink based polish packed with Multi-colour glitter including pink, green, orange, silver and blue that I could see. This polish in my opinion is amazing as it took just two coats for full opacity and this is a glitter polish that doesn't need to be layered over a colour as it looks fab on it's own! This is so pretty to look at and I love it! I used one coat of topcoat and it was pretty smooth but I think with another would have been completely smoothed out!

PCF - Christmas Challenge Day 10 - Most Festive Red

Hey lovelies!

Today's theme over at the Purple Crumpet Fairy group (Facebook) is "Most Festive Red".

For this manicure I decided to use one of my most recent purchases from OPI's new Muppets Collection "Getting' Miss Piggy With It". I used this polish for most festive red as it is a clear base packed full of red micro glitter and large red hexagon glitter and sporadic silver large hexagon glitter (very Christmassy!). Using this for my most festive red was a no brainer considering this just looks like Christmas packed into a bottle!

Ok so to achieve this look I first off used OPI's "Colour So Hot It Berns" as my base. This is a stunning shiny red creme with an opaque finish with two effortless coats. On top of this base I proceeded to layer OPI's "Getting' Miss Piggy With It" (I have to say I just love the name of this polish!) I used two layers of the glitter polish and it applied without any drama! Bonus!

Honestly, once I had finished I could not stop looking at my nails ... Oh the super shininess! Oh wow! Glitter heaven! Definitely my most festive red! So eye-catching! They looked metallic almost and reminded me of Minx nails .., I think I'm in love! Perfect Christmas colour! One of my favourites now! Love, love, love!!!!!

What do you think? Do you have a favourite festive red?
