Hey lovelies!
This manicure is my second contribution to the Purple Crumpet Fairy Group (Facebook) Christmas Challenge, Day 7 theme CANDY CANE.
For this look I achieved it by using my existing manicure for the Snowglobe theme (please see previous post). Basically two coats of OPI's "Alpine Snow" with two coats of China Glaze's "Snowglobe" over the top which gives a glittery effect. To do the candy cane stripes I used OPI's "Color So Hot It Berns" which is a lovely bright opaque red. I started to do the stripes on one nail with tape which was a disaster and too much of an effort and so I found it much easier to do freehand stripes! Although they are not perfect I am pleased with the overall look as I think my nails look good enough to eat like candy canes! If I were to do it again I would change one thing and that would be to just use a pure white base with no glitter.
What do you think of this festive mani?

NOTD - PCF Christmas Challenge - Snowglobe
Hey lovelies!
Today is my first contribution to the 31 days of Christmas Challenge (day 3 - Snowglobe) set by the Purple Crumpet Fairy group over on Facebook.
For this look I used two coats of OPI's "Alpine Snow" which gave an opaque base of pure white for the snowy background. For the glittery Snowglobe effect I used China Glaze's "Snowglobe" this was one of my untried polishes that I bought not too long ago! I obviously had to use this polish as it resembles the snowy glitter effect so well and given the name of the polish this was an obvious choice! The polish is a clear base with lots of small hexagons and some larger hexagons which are iridescent and reflect green, blue, purple, orange and pink and is so pretty! I used two coats of Snowglobe on top and the application was good! I am impressed with the overall look as it definitely looks wintry and festive and ultimately reminds me of a Snowglobe!
