Hello Lovelies!
Today I am wearing a franken beauty that my cousin Haley surprised with me with for my birthday! The girl did good! Think all my nail talk has been rubbing off on her!
Haley bought me Dollish Polish's "Expecto Patronum". Dollish Polish is available on Etsy. Expecto Patronum is a sheer white base polish with lots of micro and large hexagon teal coloured glitter throughout! I used two coats of Expecto Patronum on top of one coat of OPI's "Alpine Snow". Haley tried her bottle out before I did and said that her nails looked like spearmints! Now that my nails are painted all I can think of is spearmint polo's! Yummy!
Overall, I am very impressed with this Franken it is gorgeous!

Mavala Review - Flashy Violet
Good Morning Lovelies!
Mavala have kindly sent me some polishes to review. I have already reviewed "Touch of Provence" and today I am reviewing "Flashy Violet".
Flashy Violet is a deep purple/blue with a subtle blue micro-shimmer. Application was great no issues at all and required two coats to reach opacity. The size of the bottle is 5ml and so the brush is small but like the other Mavala reviewed the cap is an unusual shape making it easy to grip and control and thus making the brush easy to work with. This is a beautiful colour and I think it is a great winter colour and I will definitely be wearing as a pedi very soon!
Mavala polishes are available at leading department stores such as John Lewis and Boots and many more as well as salons nationwide priced at £4.30 each. www.beautybay.com also sells them at reasonable prices with free delivery!
What do you think? Have you any Mavala polishes you could recommend to me?

NOTD - Nails Inc Holland Park Neon
Happy Saturday Lovelies!
Today I am wearing a recent purchase from my birthday haul which is Nails Inc's "Holland Park Neon". This is a newly released shade and I bought it from the Nails Inc website after I saw the bottle pic. Unfortunately the bottle pic online does not reflect the true colour of the polish but I have since noticed there is a swatch online too showing the true colour.
"Holland Park Neon" is a bright purple shade. From the photos below the actual colour is slightly pinker in real life. The formula was sheer and jelly like and dried matte. Drying time was quick which was good as it took three coats to reach opacity. I applied a coat of Poshe topcoat to finish and the gloss was so beautiful! A real squishy jelly look which I love! This polish does not appear neon to me at all but still this is a beautiful purple so I don't mind!

Mavala Review - Touch of Provence
Good Morning Lovelies!
Mavala have kindly sent me a few polishes to review. I am kicking off the reviews with Mavala's "Touch of Provence" which is one of the colours used at London Fashion Week S/S12.
Touch of Provence is a pastel lilac with a subtle silver micro-shimmer, so subtle it really looks like a creme on my nails. Application was fantastic and required only two coats for full opacity. Bearing in mind the size of the bottle (5ml) the brush is small but I think because of the unusual shape of the cap this made the brush easy to work with as you could get a good grip and control application with ease. I think this is a gorgeous pastel Spring colour and will definitely be wearing more of this!

NOTD - Nails Inc Baker Street
Hello lovelies!
Today I am wearing Nails Inc's "Baker Street" which is a newly released "trend shade". I first heard about it on the Internet when Beyonce was spotted wearing it and it was super eye catching! Next I heard about it on QVC's TSV last week where there was a great deal and I was debating whether to buy the set and in the end I didn't for which I'm kicking myself now! Anyway, I resorted to EBay to buy this bottle as it had become such a must have for me and I couldn't stop thinking about it. The shade has since been released on Nails Inc's website at £11.
Now I'm not really a blue fan but this one is just gorgeous! I am currently wearing it as a matching mani and pedi! This is such a hot summer colour and would look even better against a tan! Baker Street is a bright blue creme and in daylight this looks so stunning! I own nothing like this it is just beautiful! Almost opaque at just one coat but I used two for even coverage, application was flawless! I think I may have reignited a Nails Inc obsession all over again!

NOTD - OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips
On Wednesday's We Wear Pink
Hello Lovelies!
Today I am wearing OPI's "Kiss Me On My Tulips" which I received this morning in some awesome nail mail as part of a swap!
Kiss Me On My Tulips is from OPI's new Holland Collection for Spring 2012. It is a hot pink creme. Application was a dream and only required two coats - I won't lie though a couple of my nails required three probably due to the fact that I'm so impatient on waiting for layers to dry. This is such a stunning hot pink and I adore it, it's very feminine and barbie!
What do you think? What OPI Holland's are you going to buy? X

NOTD - Birthday Nails - NOPI Follow Me On Glitter
Hello Lovelies!
Today is my Birthday! I am 27 years young and to celebrate I thought I would paint my nails with a glitter polish! This was no easy decision as I have accrued a lot of glitter in my stash lately!
The polish I decided on in the end was Nicole by OPI "Follow Me On Glitter" from the Kardashian Collection 2011 because it looked so pretty in the bottle. I got to admit I do love watching the Kardashians but don't judge me! I requested this polish in a swap back in December as I had been lusting after it bad as it wasn't available in the UK at the time! I know you can now buy this from ASOS.com and Lena White also at around £8.50.
Follow Me On Glitter is a black/dark grey based polish with tonnes of silver/grey micro glitter and also small round rainbow glitter with colours such as orange, pink, green, blue, gold and silver. The brush I found to be very wide but this seemed to make application a breeze for me and I required minimal clean-up which is always welcome! The formula of the polish is very thick thus making it more dense providing more opacity and only requiring two coats for full coverage. Dry time was good and to prevent the grittiness I topped with two coats of Seche Vite Top Coat.
Well what can I say ... I am so pleased to have gone with this polish for my birthday! It is just stunning to look at! It sparkles beautifully especially under the light! This polish couldn't be any more up my street in fact I would say it's next door! I think this was made for me! Loving this ... Can you tell?

NOTD - Pink Leopard Print Nails
Happy Valentine's Day Lovelies! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
For my Valentine's manicure I have decided to go for leopard print and the reason being I love all things leopard print and I haven't yet done a pink leopard print!
For my base colour I used 2 coats of OPI's "Sparrow Me The Drama" which is a dusty, pale, pastel, pink creme. Sparrow Me The Drama is from The Pirates of the Caribbean collection released by OPI in 2011. The application of this polish was flawless as expected with OPI. For the leopard spots I used a dotting tool and dipped into Spoiled by Wet n Wild's "Fuzzy Dice" (thanks to my SV) which is a vibrant hot pink creme and I randomly placed dots onto my nails. For the black outlines I used Andrea Fulerton's black "Dot & Flick" pen.
I really love this Valentine's mani as I love the colour pink and love to do leopard print mani's!

NOTD - OPI I Lily Love You
Good Morning lovelies!
Today I am wearing my existing manicure - 3 coats of OPI's "Do You Think I'm Tex-y?" a pink/purple jelly (please see previous post). I decided go recycle this mani by adding a layer of OPI's "I Lily Love You" on top. I Lily Love You is from The Nice Stems collection and is a pink jelly base polish with lots of glitter and iridescent flakies. Super pretty and feminine!
I like this combo as I think I Lily Love You is too sheer to wear on it's own.
